Netball

Corpus Christi Netball Club is a parent-run club with an emphasis on our players enjoying taking part in a team sport whilst at the same time developing their netball skills to their full potential. We currently have 11 teams registered in the KNA winter competition played on Saturday mornings either at Canoon Rd, Turramurra (netball) or Lofberg Rd, or Pymble (Netta). Registration takes place within the first few weeks of Term 1 and the season runs for 15 weeks commencing in March / April. Teams train after school on the school netball court. Children turning 7 years of age can play Netta, which is a modified version of Netball. From 9 years of age they play Netball.

We currently have 8 teams playing from ‘A to E’ division. Netball is a great way of teaching children valuable teamwork skills and a good form of regular winter exercise.

Soccer Club

Corpus Christi has its own soccer club called the Corpus Christi Hawks. The club is run by volunteer parents within the school, who liaise with the KDSA (Ku-ring-gai District Soccer Association). This is a fabulous way for the children to be involved in exercise while making lasting friendships and learning the necessary soccer, social and team-building skills. It is also a great way for parents to further friendships within the school as they support their children at matches.

The soccer club plays in age groups and is open to girls and boys from K-6. Corpus Christi Hawks take registrations at the beginning of the first term in February and the school newsletter gives regular updates about club information. The season runs from April to August and a season-ending Gala Day pits the teams against their parents (a real season highlight with a free sausage sizzle and drinks)! Each child receives a trophy at the end of the season and there are Principal Awards presented to children who have performed well throughout the season.
