The finalists for the prestigious Sydney Youth Writing Competition were announced last week. Over 20 Corpus Christi students from Years 3-6 chose to enter, writing a story or poem. The word feather and/or asphalt had to appear somewhere in their work. All the students took great pride in drafting and redrafting their work, most of it done independently at home. These stories have been collated and will be available to borrow from the library. However, it was with much excitement that we were to see Eloise, Elle and Sophia announced as finalists. We thought you would like to read their stories.
