The students at Corpus Christi participate in a variety of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) programs. The outcomes of the Board of Studies are the focus of our teaching. The PDH component of the programme closely follows the newly developed CSO units based on the following strands: Growth and Development, Interpersonal Relationships, Personal Health Choices and Safe Living. Other aspects of the programme include the Peer Support Programme and social skills programs as needed in classes.
The school has a specialist PE teacher one and a half days a week who takes each class for a sport lesson.
The aims of the Personal Development/ Health/PE programme at Corpus Christi are:
To develop in each student the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to understand, value and lead healthy, active and fulfilling lives. This plays a role in forming the basis for students to adopt a responsible and productive role in society
To encourage student understanding of their own responsibility in relation to the pastoral care of themselves and others |
