Debating/Public Speaking

Debating and Public Speaking at Corpus Christi have long been a tradition.

Each year 2 teams are chosen from the students in Years 5 & 6 to represent Corpus Christi in the Independent Schools Debating Association (ISDA) competition. In affiliation with Brigidine Catholic Girls College at St Ives, the teams are involved in inter-school debating through participation in this competition.

Every student from Kindergarten to Year 6 participates at class level to acquire confidence in public speaking and debating.

Each year the school holds an in-school Public Speaking competition. Talented speakers are further challenged in our senior years to compete at cluster and Diocesan level competitions.
